The West End Restaurant, the upscale New American restaurant next door to the Melody Tent in Hyannis’ historic West End, recently announced a new leadership and culinary team.
Founding partner and owner Jen Villa is joined by new co-owner and operating partner Blane Toedt, who brings nearly 25 years’ experience in the hospitality industry to his role. Toedt comes to The West End from Willowbend Country Club in Mashpee, where he had been director of Food and Beverage since 2016. Prior to that, Toedt was Food and Beverage manager at The Bay Club at Mattapoisett. He has held various positions in the industry since 1995. In his day-to-day role as general manager at The West End, Toedt will work closely with the staff and culinary team to strengthen the restaurant’s service program, diversify its wine and beverage lists, and provide a memorable guest experience.
“I am thrilled for the next phase of The West End’s success,” said Villa. “We have a fantastic team already, and Blane’s experience and dedication to excellence will help us refine our approach to hospitality even further.”In June 2017, Villa and former co-owner David Noble set out to give new life to the space long beloved as The Paddock, keeping what was special about the 100-year-old iconic location while creating an inviting and modern dining experience.
