Cape Cod Today - The Best Restaurants in Hyannis

The West End is a beautiful high-end spot serving dinner Wednesday through Sunday and a wonderfully unique Jazz Brunch every Sunday.

The West End exhibits a sort of old-fashioned, library vibe. It almost feels like a 1920s-esque spot, with gorgeous artwork, a lounge with couch-style booths, and a lovely full bar accentuated with modern lighting. The woodwork throughout the restaurant is also beautifully crafted and adds to the overall ambiance.

All of the food at The West End is locally sourced and fresh, as expressed through the creativity in the menu. If you go for dinner, make sure to try the steak tartare or truffle polenta fries for an appetizer. Or, order some fresh seafood from the raw bar, like one of their seafood towers to share between your table.

For main dishes, the Miso-soy-glazed salmon is melt-in-your-mouth delicious, as is the eggplant Milanese. There are also classics like lobster rolls and cheeseburgers. If you want a drink with your meal, the wine, beer, and cocktail menu is massive and features great choices like the West End martini.

If you decide to enjoy The West End’s Jazz Brunch on Sunday, make sure to check out their website to see which jazz musician is playing that week, in case you’re hoping to see a specific artist!

During brunch, the raw bar is also open, if you’re craving fresh seafood to start your day. However, if you want a more classic breakfast starter, I recommend trying one of the sourdough toasts–like the almond butter, bacon, and apple toast or smoked salmon toast.

For your main dish, the lobster and avocado Benedict is flavorful and ideal for customers wanting a savory breakfast. If you want something sweet, the lemon ricotta pancakes are fluffy and delectable.

Furthermore, if you’re wanting a more lunch-based meal, the breakfast smashed burger (topped with an egg!) is heavenly. Lastly, if you want a cocktail with your brunch, the bloody marys and mimosas are both great!

I do consider The West End to feel more like an adult place, however with choices like chicken fingers and burgers, children can certainly be accommodated and are of course warmly welcomed by the very friendly staff.

The West End does take reservations, which are recommended. It is also located very close to the Cape Cod Melody Tent, making it the perfect place to stop for a meal on your way to or from a show!

Ultimately, The West End is amazing for anyone looking for a unique, modernized speakeasy vibe filled with music and delicious cuisine.
